Joanna has to stay with her father in Boonton, a small city in New Jersey for a week. Thereby she meets the mysterious William MacMillan, who she can't get out of her head anymore. A week later, back in school, she meets the stranger again because he's new to her school.
Despite initial difficulties they both get closer and closer but soon Joan has to notice shattered that her crush has a dark secret - since he's an ancient vampire. Will their love break under the burden of the truth?
