Faerie is laid between realms. It isn't one or the other and it is not a concoction of two put together. Faerie is Faerie just as Theo is Theo. They both belong to no one, not even themselves. With the struggle of belonging, Theo is thrust into a fight for a crown that he never wanted, a book he never needed, and a world he never knew existed.
Theo is a mercenary who is known for doing just about anything that results in his pockets being filled with gold. Theo is half disgraced faerie and half mundane but when he is offered a deal that will bring him all the riches he could ever want at the cost of his past, he makes a choice that could alter his future forever.
