A year after Prince Eric and Ariel's wedding they became the King and Queen of Oceanea while expecting a baby girl whom they both decide to name Nessa. At the same time a powerful witch name Morgan is keen on getting revenge from the kingdom for banishing her for blackmailing the late king into marriage. King Triton, Ariel's dad and King of Oceandept and King of the Merpeople had a vision of a prophecy that is to come to pass stating that his granddaughter Nessa will be the most powerful mermaid ever since she's got royal blood on both sides and that she'll be the only one to stop Morgan from gaining revenge from the people of Oceanea as well as protecting Oceandept.
Morgan somehow got news of the prophecy and attack the palace of Oceanea as soon as baby Nessa was born killing the newly crowned King and Queen. When King Triton heard of her plan he got there as soon as he could. No one knows if he and his granddaughter is alive for they haven't heard from them ever since. The people of both kingdom know that they're doom if the princess isn't alive for she's their only hope for freedom from the wicked witch.

When her sister's displeasure with her grows worse, Muriel seeks to avoid it. In a desperate attempt to do so she finds herself cave of the sea witch Minerva. Philip's kindness remains prominent in her mind when Minerva offers her a choice to be a human. Hesitantly she agrees, unaware of how different the human world from hers. Mermaids are real, and unlike humans they have powers. Every mermaid is matched with an element when they are born, its not there choice but the worlds in a way, you see the mermaids tail color tells them their element and powers some are more powerful with it and other's not so much to useless. Green tails mean their element is Nature and earth, orange and yellow is light, purple is shadows, pink is wind and then there is blue for water and red for fire. But, when a princess is born with a tail holding 5 out of 6 of the elemental colors and starts getting hunted at the age of one. There was only one thing the king could do to keep his precious babygirl safe and that's what he had done. Amelia Light was adopted at the age of one. Knowing the truth she feel's that these people are her real family even if they aren't by blood. Living a normal life with a loving family and an annoying older brother, Amelia never expected her life to change in the way it did. She had grown up to love the water, she could always hold her breath for a long time and the people around her would always be filled with shock and bewilderment but, to her it was normal. At the age of 5 Amilea could hold her breath for a minute but as she gotten older it changed when she was 10 she could hold it for 5 minutes easy! Now that she is turning 16 soon she can hold it for almost and I mean almost 10 minutes. She had loved everything about it but the summer after she turned 15 some..
