Christopher Lale has been having a hard time dealing with his family fighting. Everyone seems to have some big problem with each other. Chris just wants to get away. School and work is his refuge. His friends' houses have become more of a home than his own.
When his parents decide to divorce, it's expected but still shocking. Suddenly he is thrown into a world of frequent court dates, messy meeting times with parents, and sibling split-ups, all a month before Chris turns 18. Chris reminds himself that all he has to do is stick it out until he turns 18. Will it only get worse from here? Or better?
