Kaminari and Sero both know they won't last long. Not because of cheating or anything like that. Kaminari has stage three lung cancer that spread to his heart and has only three years left to live. Sero is his only support system and his boyfriend. They only have three years to be together but when Kaminari's parents find out, they let their own homophobic feelings get away in their son's happiness. So Kaminari and Sero make a deal. For three years, Sero and Denki will go on the run, living life the way they want, together. They may think they have time but three years isn't that long. Maybe they can find a way to fix this mess they got into.
