F/N L/N first came in contact with England's underworld when she met Lau. She was an independent noble who instead of owning an estate, traveled from one city to the next to assist in the writing of her books.

She met Ciel Phantomhive not long after meeting Lau and somehow got wrapped into one of the Earl's investigations. Ciel thought she had intellectual insights and kept her around for a different set of eyes. So F/N was then dubbed the "Insider."

With the meeting of the Earl also came his butler, a man garbed in infinite octane. She felt an immediate interest in him, almost like the flip of a switch. The comfort and familiarity with him sent her over the edge with confusion and curiosity. As they get closer, she discovers more and more about herself and questions her life as she knows it.
