  "I never told you that I was human, I never even told you my age," He was irritated now. 

"Liar by exclusion." Indie felt her anger starting to override the calm she had fronted. "Still a liar."

Indie could see the frustration build in his eyes. "I'm sorry. But honestly, what was I supposed to do?  Approach you with my fangs bared and blood on my face and say 'I'm a monster will you please go on a date with me?"  He was pissed now, his eyes glaring into her.  

  His anger quickly morphed to regret. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that."  He looked down at the table.  "You have every right to be angry, but I never intended for any of this to happen.  I felt gratitude to you and then I started having feelings for you.  Before I knew it, I was caught in the web of deceit and I didn't know what to do."

  "You want to know what you should've done?" Indie's false calm melted into fear and fury. "You should've never talked to me in the first place.  You should've left me alone." The anger forced her to rise to her feet. "We're done here." She stormed out of the diner, leaving him behind.

  He didn't follow her.
