A girl named Marie  who watched her parents die in the fires of Tokyo when a Kaiju attacked, finds herself reincarnated in this world after killed by that very same kaiju a few hours after watching her parents die.  She is found to have a talent as a Monster Mage, but is laughed at because the Monster Spirit discovered inside her is found to possess no magic abilities,  and to add insult to injury, the monster spirit is not only conscious in Marie.. but.. it is the very Kaiju from her world that killed her family...
