How long could you hold onto life before breaking? Struggling, fighting, praying to stay alive in the cold waters of the Atlantic is no easy task for the narrator of this short story. Time and place affect the past, present, and future events in our world. They can pose significant influence in actions of characters and their environment both in books and in the real world. This short story displays a tale where the setting plays a significant role in the narrative in which the characters are affected.
