Clasp {Book Two of the Deathly Consequences Series}
After I left the Quad behind in NightShade years ago, I thought my heart was broken beyond repair. Shattered. Dust in the wind. But with my dreams of a future sustaining me, I pushed on. Forged by the flames of fucking Fate to fulfill that naive hope. After seven years of hiding, surviving, and fucking strength of will, I thought I had those dreams made into reality. Until even that was taken from me too. But I am fucking Thana Lillith Kage, the last true Necromancer left standing. And I will be damned if I let my enemies take my second family from me. Never. Again. {Warning. This book is still in the editing stages and I work a full time job out in the real world (fml) so the chapters are either a plethora of words or short and sweet. Creator: Friend or Foe?
This story began as a NaNoWriMo 2012 work, with no planning, and even less idea of plot. I learned from that experience that I am not a 'pantser' -and spent about 20 painful months trying to turn my stream-of-consciousness 3-stories-in-one into one coherent novel, following the timeline and events in the Book of Genesis. I discovered that that is not a great way to build a plot. I ended after 5 more drafts, at about 60k words. There is another draft on my blog, slightly longer, a bit more experimental. This is only meant to be a marker of progress. I hope some may find it enjoyable, useful, and even helpful.
