One day, a boy was born to a family, a good one, with caring parents and a loving older sister.

Then, that family was killed, and the boy was taken away deep, deep into an underground lab by a man who looked strikingly similar to a cruel snake.

That man wanted to create an ultimate weapon to use against his enemies. To do this, he altered the boy on a genetic level through various twisted experiments.

The child did not see this new power as a gift.

He saw it as a curse.

A curse that made him a something unnatural, inhuman.

It made him into a monster.

Well... he supposed that he never knew what it was like to be a human to begin with.
