In a post apocalyptic world where most forms of advanced technology have failed, people do what they have always done. They carry on and oddly that means different things for different people. For some, it means a return to a simpler time of peace where technology can no longer intrude into everyday life. For others, a world of violence calls. They are free from the oppressive rules of society.
But people have changed in other ways as well. Some have become mindless animals. Some have been granted the ability to do things that are beyond belief. Most have just tried to be able to survive the horrible change that happened.
This series will attempt to explore this world through the eyes of people. For the time being each chapter will be in sequence and from the point of view of a different character. The first character is the main character. That character will be reoccur the most often.
I have begun writing a world book. This book attempts to detail as much information as possible. I do not believe that this will be published, but if I make a error in continuity, please let me know.
I am not a writer by nature. I have a great difficulty with spelling and grammar. I do not have a full time editor. My goal is to make my writing better, so I do appreciate comments. If you wish to edit my work, contact me. I am currently without a place to live. I am writing this book on my phone, so please understand that. Thanks much.

Ningen Ni Chikai: A Monsters journey to become Human
In the 22nd century, There are some mysteries that the world holds which would be better off left in the dark. Every day, something comes ever closer from the shadows, ready to destroy everything you hold dear and more. One such secret are the Nephilim. The Nephilim are genetically modified humans capable of shapeshifting, rapid healing, and, most importantly, rapid adaptation. Most of the Nephilim are, however, extremely dangerous, losing their humanity in the process, and become monsters that must be contained. One day, A Nephilim breaks free and escapes the facility it was housed in, leaving death and destruction in its wake. After breaking free, the Nephilim meets a young woman who is not of this world, a woman who attempts to befriend him. Will the Nephilim go on to become a monster, a beast who will usher in the end of humankind, or will it learn to love once again, and become something... "Close to Human" UPDATE! So after re-reading my story, I've noticed a few things I could do better, and thus, I unpublished it. I'm going to try and rewrite the story, and maybe add a few changes such as characters, events, and some other things that may need fixing. Nina is captured by parbeing man. He plans to turn her into his pet. He knows she won't go down without a fight, but he's not prepared for how much 'fight' she has packed in her small body. His new pet leaks into every area of his life, changing things in ways he could never have imagined. Parbeings are the new and improved apex predators of Earth. Created from gene editing, they are the perfect humans, so perfect that they are no longer even considered human. *** Content Warning: The protagonist of this story is a victim of abuse. I do not condone the actions of the antagonist *** Chapter 1 extract: "Hey Alex. Get over here. I've got something for you," he calls into his collar radio. I reach the end of the alley and turn to face my foe once again, but he remains where he is, still blocking my path but not approaching either. New plan: when he gets close, duck under his arms and make a run for it. Now I just have to wait. Before a minute has even passed, another armoured soldier appears and joins the first. This just keeps getting worse. How am I supposed to dodge past two of them? "What do you want now?" the new soldier grumbles. This one must be Alex. "Look at this cute little human I found. She's feisty. I think she's perfect for you." I glare at them. "I don't want a pet human. That's your disgusting fetish, and I'll have no part in it." "Oh come on Captain," the first soldier whines, "You don't have to fuck her, just train her to be obedient. Surely you can control one measly wild human? You are a captain after all. When you're done, you can just get rid of her, like I do with my humans." What the fuck? For a brief moment my fear is replaced by anger. Who do they think they are, talking about me like I'm some kind of wild animal? "Get the fuck away from me! You freaks!" I screech. The first soldier just flashes an evil grin. They don't budge. Emmi is not and cannot be vaccinated against the disease, so the only way to protect her and give her some kind of life is to reunite her with her estranged mother in a quarantine zone on the other side of the country. Charlotte wants nothing to do with Nate or the girl who looks like her dead sister. She does not want to go through the grief of losing people again if something bad was to happen. And something bad does happen when Emmi is kidnapped, and it is no one's fault but Charlotte's. They are a family, working together to make sure those things, Aliens, never take another human as long as they are near. When the aliens of A.C.R. (Animal Care and Rescue) find a new group of humans wandering the ruins of a large city, they think it will be an easy capture. But they soon learn that these particular humans have more willpower than most. They dodge every trap, disappear around every bend, and even manage to take some of the already captured humans with them. The aliens pity these "little creatures"-they just don't want to leave their home, but Earth is falling apart at the seams, and they are determined to take the stubborn little humans to the safety of one of the mother planets.
