Eight years had passed since they left Aquitaine in search of a new life. Having seen the demise of the de Rune family and the sufferings of her younger brother, Amicia never had a vision for her own future.
Lucas never imagined he would ever leave the shadow of his mentor, Laurentius. Having being swept on a journey with the remaining de Rune family, he had grown to care for them unconditionally. But seeing the scars left behind on the eldest de Rune, he realises that maybe he cares a little too much.
