It's been four years since Marinette Dupain-Cheng became Ladybug, one of the many super heroes of Paris, although the others are only called on in case of an emergency and Ladybug and her partner/best friend Chat Noir can not handle an akuma without them.
And yet, in four short years, the very same Marinette, the hero of Paris and holder of the miraculous of creation, has become numb. Numb to everything in the world. Only alert and bright whenever whipping triumph the streets of Paris France when fighting an akumatized citizen and saving the day with her best friend.
What will happen when one fateful night Marinette shows through the mask and Chat Noir finally understands what danger she is under? Will he be able to save her in time? Or will he become numb as well? Find out by reading!

She never shows this pain unless through her civilian self, and that was also at home, where she cries her eyes out every night. And every time her 3 best friends had asked her, "What's wrong?" she would always say "I'm fine!" Only to keep them safe. Adrien didn't believe her fake facade and looked past her plastic smile, so he decided to visit her one evening after his patrol as Chat Noir with Ladybug. What would happen when the breaking civilian meets the unexpected alleyway cat? Will she open her heart to him? And how long will her mask hold up? 2nd book, a dedicated fanfic to miraculous!!!!!! He loved that he had freedom to do whatever he desired when he was Chat Blanc. Adrien had gotten into one of the biggest arguments he had ever had with his father, leading him to run from his home as his alter ego, Chat Noir. They had grown apart since his mother's disappearance. Adrien always tried to speak with his father and try but he was always busy or away. He finally snapped at his father. But where would he go for the night? He had to find someone he could trust. Marinette wasn't expecting Chat Noir to show up on her balcony with red eyes filled with tears. Her first thought after seeing him was the akumatized version of him, Chat Blanc. She immediately brings him inside, making it her job to help him. She was not going to let her partner become her worst nightmare. He needed some place to feel safe? She would become that. It became an everyday thing. Chat Noir would visit Marinette every day, they would talk about their days as Chat tried to keep his as dense as possible to not reveal his identity. They would play video games and eat food from the bakery. But what happens when something happens to Marinette that makes her break? Marinette has no where to go so Chat decides to be that place.
