Attractive strangers Lucas and Cara were living normal, uncomplicated lives until sought by a group of bounty hunters. The price on their heads is high because the gifts they possess are priceless. They run for their lives but it doesn't take long to realize they can't run from their growing attraction for each other. Oof, that description was painful. This is a hobby project intended to work some creative muscles, which is why you may see iterations of the same characters in my stories. While not true fan fiction, this work is inspired by several of my favorite movies and film characters. I like to drop lines from these movies and characters as little Easter eggs. If you can spot them give them a shout-out in the comments. As this is essentially a glorified creative writing project, I haven't done the type of deep research that goes into a professional novel. The ancient Egyptians referred to it as "ka," and the ancient Greeks as "pneuma." In Africa, it's known as "ashe" and in Hawaii as "mana." They learnt from a young age no one that means NO ONE can know about their powers even their parents and other siblings. It brings out the true friends and those who just want to use you. In the end, what do you do when your closest friend betrays you? This is the story as they try to keep their biggest darkest secret of what they are capable of and as they discover they're not the only ones like them... I am not very good at trigger warnings before individual chapters but there is mention of blood, cold abuse and parents divorcing. (But read at your own risk in case I mention something else.
