Chaos and madness surround the kingdom of Aralyn. The treaty that was used to unite two opposing kingdoms, brought devastation upon our people. Since then, the Royals have shut the commoners out, forcing the hierarchy to not gaze upon those that suffer in what is now called The Dark Realm. Betraying the laws will get commoners banished, moreso beheaded, from the place they used to call home. Evil still lurks around its corners, while destiny stabs from behind. But I'm willing to take that sacrifice, even if it means death is my future.

Nokriin and Rias have been on the run from their vampiric home continent of Valkor for nine years. They move from continent to continent of war torn Aurelia, doing their best to ignore the constant conflict between the northern and southern halves of the world. Day by day, they pick up mercenary work and odd jobs for enough gold to survive, desperately attempting to forge their own paths in a world where your role is already predetermined. When a failed assassination attempt on Nokriin's life forces him and his friend into this millennium long worldwide conflict, he has to face the truth; On Aurelia, your fate is sealed. There is no escape. Will Nokriin be able to continue to flee from himself, or will he be forced into his destined crucial position within the war for Aurelia? Book One of The Aether series.
