When people reincarnate they expect to be a hero or have a purpose that is meant to save people.
They may be using magic and such, but... What about reincarnating to a modern world. 
Anthony was a normal person. He never believed in supernatural things. Wanted to save his planet but not really doing much about it.
He gets killed when a bookshelf fell on his head.
He talked with a celestial force, the celestial force hired him as "The Corrector".
He would go around in new universes and seeking out different races that are exploiting their resources so much that the planet is literally calling out for help.
He would correct the Anthropocene people.All Rights Reserved

The Empire had found them fearing the worst. The parents fought back against their former allies as their son fled the planet as far away as he could... Over 1000 years had passed and Alexander was all alone in the universe he still believed in the core concepts that his parents taught him and tried his best to help the universe whatever way he could he intended on staying out of the Empire's way continuously running from them that was until he came to a planet of mud and water called... So what of it? I don't think it matters where I came from." Galactus replied. "It doesn't. You did what you had to do to survive. But the problem is you made a deal with the devil." John replied. Galactus looked at John with more stoic eyes now. He had done many things in the past and he made many bad decisions. He just wasn't sure what John was referring to so he was silent. John seeing that Galactus was silent and refused to speak said "Black Winter is coming!!" ------------- When a cinephile and an otaku/weeb travels through dimensions and gets a system which can only be described as overpowered but comes with restrictions. At first he was overjoyed with the system but soon realizes that he is in a very dangerous world where his life was at risk all the time. The Hawaiian Special Forces by WingedPanther73

This is the story I'm writing for NaNoWriMo 2015. The goal: 50,000 word RAW draft written entirely in the month of November. Unlike most of my stories, which I prefer to edit before posting, I'm actually going to post updates to this at the end of each day in chapter-sized chunks. The idea behind this story is that a terrorist attack in the near future causes the US to go hyper-isolationist, to the point that it abandons Hawaii and Alaska to fend for themselves. They do, forming the United Pacific States (maybe with a few other island countries). Hawaii then goes on to turn itself into the new world police with stealthy, genetically modified cyber-soldiers. I'm marking this story as mature because there will be action scenes, and probably some interesting perspectives on nudity and relationships. I'm not planning on anything explicit, but this won't be a kids book. Validated winner at 50,040 words!
