Dies ist eine Kurzgeschichte, deren Thema in gewisser Hinsicht die heutige Gesellschaft beschreibt. Es geht um ein Mädchen, welches an sich selbst den Anspruch stellt, die Beste in allen Dingen zu sein. Sie strebt immer nach dem höchsten, um besonders zu sein und bewundert zu werden. Die Anerkennung der Leute ist ihr wichtiger als alles andere. Eines Tages zieht ein Junge in ihr Dorf, der sie in allem zu übertreffen scheint. Sie vergleicht sich nun ständig mit ihm, bis Neid und Eifersucht bei ihr zu Selbsthass und Frustration führen. Eine Grundlage aus der nur böses endstehen kann.
