It's so lonely here on this big romantic island, in this alien moon colony that I own. With my wife away all week, and my job as an Overlord stressing me out, there's just no time for romance. Fortunately I'm a hive-mind and my former body was male, and HOT. Wouldn't hurt anything to just...have a drink with my cloned self. Passions unfold in this totally dead serious and not at all blatantly satirical story, of sarcastic romance and self-love, where me and other me with a beard, split hairs on the definitions of what having "an affair" even means. Is it even cheating if it's you on you? Maybe, but what our cloned wife doesn't know, won't hurt them. An affair turns to a coverup, and a series of murders to bury the situation. Every step closer to myself, takes me closer to a prison sentence, as things become harder to hide, and suspicious turn to theories. What on Odin's green moon have I done, and do I really want to stop now? It's just starting to get fun.Complete

An out-of-solar system colony project gone wrong meant Jessie English was stuck doing most of the work assigned to the deceased science crew. Sticking to his morals meant being left for dead by those in charge. By chance, he meets Luc, a member of the planet's sentient avian humanoid species. All Jessie wants to do now is live out the rest of his days with him, and hopefully get past the language barrier that prevents him from communicating the feelings of love he hopes are mutual. Unfortunately, sightings of a human and an alien together are more interesting to the colony's higher-ups than one would hope. *** Born the runt of his clutch, Luc had never held anyone so small, so soft... He was all Jessie had, so he would do everything to shield him from others of his kind, and by extension, protect the whole human race. -------- AVIAN has been COMPLETED on the writer's end (30 chapters + five bonus stories) and is on a bi-weekly upload schedule. Alex wasn't really special, he was just like every normal young adult in their early twenties. He worked as a cashier in a grocery store and somehow managed to make a living in a small apartment. He mostly games to pass his days and nights, so it was safe to say his family wasn't all that proud of him. But will his life remain so normal when he suddenly finds himself standing as one of the last humans on their planet? Will his life remain boring when he finds out about hybrids, mystical beings, and magic? Will his life remain safe when more than half of the hybrids and magical humans have it out to kill the human species, people like himself? And when he finds allies who help him along the way in finding the solution to saving the human race, will everything truly go the way he wishes? Let's see.
