Cora has undoubtedly had a rough go at life. One grave mistake later lands her in prison, and after four months she's summoned by the king who makes her an offer she can't refuse: rescue his daughter in exchange for her freedom and a bounty of riches, or, be executed.
Ultimately choosing the daunting task, she's sent away with a small group of skilled individuals-a bodyguard, an assassin, and the king's dangerously handsome yet irritating son Crispin-on a mission into dangerous lands to retrieve the stolen princess in exchange for wealth and freedom.
