Malaysia Garnett is a insecure young girl that is still trying to find herself, the doubts in her mind doesn't help either, sometimes she wonders if she's even good enough. It's hard for her to make friends because she's antisocial, and boys don't even give her a glance because being dark and overweight isn't attractive. If she could stay in a dark room all day.... she would.

Malaysia felt worthless, with an alcoholic as a father and a mother she's never met, that's enough to make any 19 year old feel alone.

It seems like Malaysia's whole world was falling apart, racing out the house into the night, she came across a person she has never seen before... It was a boy, a handsome boy rather she would think but she would never say it out loud. The boy looked way out of her league, much older she would say too, she very much noticed the black rose tattoo on his neck also.

It was dark and the city wasn't godly at night, everybody knew trouble comes out when the sun goes down, from crackheads looking for a lick, to innocent citizens sleeping in their homes waking up to a gun in their face or to a notorious drug dealer lurking in the night looking for a pretend thug that owes him thousands. Even Malaysia knew she was taking a risk by walking alone in the streets of New Orleans, but as she looked at the boy and the boy looked at her, she never knew she would be in for a long, dark twisted ride, with hurt, betrayal, lies and most of all love.

𝟏𝟖+| I was said to be 𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐝, 𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞... 𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐮𝐧𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞. I had heard it so much in my life that it had manifested into a truth that remained rock solid in my brain. It consumed every surface of my body and mind like a deadly cancer It had become a promise to myself. A reminder. A standard. It was a rule applied to every person in my life, except him... He was the same as I was; no matter how different our outside identities were. We were cut from the same cloth on the inside. There was no denying that he and I were both broken souls left in a broken world. Both craving an eternal slumber before we met, but his darkness played so well with mine that suddenly it began feeling more like light, warmth, goodness... a happy ending. "...𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗳 𝗻𝗼 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲... 𝗜 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂," --------------------------- Partying. That was the one thing Chandler did best, and everyone in town knew that. But when one of her parties get out of hand and the cops are called, she's in for a rude awakening as she comes face to face with the new guy in town: Officer Herrera. He's wasn't like the usual officers she dealt with, and she finds that out quite quickly as she gets dragged away to jail for the night. They both wish to never see each other again, but there was something stronger than their dislike for each other keeping them together. The stronger their dislike grows, the more attached they become, until the lines become so blurred that they can't tell the difference between hatred and love anymore. They could say they hated each other, but if anything, a small part of them knew it would turn into love. If that love would last once everything was revealed... It was only a matter of time before they found out. ----

"I call this one pain. And this lil one right here under his wing is suffering." "No offense, but...who the hell would wanna be reminded of pain and Suffering? If I was going to get something etched into my skin forever, I'd want something that would bring me joy." His grin bemused her. As if he expected her to contradict his moral logic. "True that, shorty. And I agree, no doubt. But who's to say my birds don't bring me joy?" Dumbfounded, Jett lifted her eyes from the silhouetted birds up to meet his tender gaze, stumped on how to answer his question. She shrugged with one arm, "Do they?" * * * Jett Jaletta has enough of her own problems. Unreliable family members that depend on her for everything, too many bills with not enough income. And a federal probation sentence that's held her hostage for the past three years. The last thing she needs is the drama that comes along with a handsome face, drama that could jeopardize everything she's working for - a liberating dance career. But Roman Carter isn't liable for the damage caused by his blessed good genes. As a matter of fact, his alluring appearance and its effect on the opposite sex is the furthest on his list of priorities. The recent murder of his only brother has left him unfocused, indignant, and irrevocably heartbroken. Well, he is focused on one thing...retribution. BlackBiirds is the intertwining story of two characters-who's deepest pains and struggles happen to be caused by the other person. Ironically, surrounding situations, dangerous rivals, and even their own family members cause these two to become tangled in ways they can't escape from. * * * BLACKBiiRDS is the rewritten, reworked 2.0 version of its former draft: Souled Out.

*PLEASE COMMENT AND VOTE* Under her brother's shadow, Ashanti has done everything he's ever asked. She ran the game with him with not even a complaint. One thing her brother didn't play about was his money, and his little sister. He didn't want anyone hurting her, and he'd trigger pull on anyone who thought they would. His best friend, Sevion, didn't care about his rules. He wanted Ashanti, and wasn't going to stop until he gets her. Keeping their love a secret became more of a life and death situation, and when Ashanti reveals all the hidden secrets, she's faced with the challenge of what's more important: family or her freedom.
