Gone

A breakup poem. I dated a girl for a short amount of time in my early undergrad and was broken up with quite abruptly. I can definitely say I was caught by surprise. Given the circumstances and my inability to feel as though I didn't do anything wrong, I turned to myself for blame and felt as if I was the reason things fell apart. This was not easy to deal with, although it sure did lead to one of my favorite poems that I have ever written.
