BORED? Check this out! Not only does this include totally random, funny, short stories that make no sense it also includes jokes, riddles, things to do when you're bored, movie/book/YouTube recommendations to keep you entertained/laughing and SO MUCH MORE. The short stories were written out of boredom for fun and to entertain others :). Each short story jumps from one idea to the next every sentence, not really sticking on topic, but it's still like a journey for the character. Hopefully it makes someone's day or gives them an idea. So... Enjoy! P.S. I know this says "completed," and it kind of is in that it's not a regular story with a plot line (beginning, middle, and end). (edit) I forgot to add that this started out as a confessional journal about becoming clean after a 10 year + addiction to OTC cold meds, but that was not my style of writing, I liked the material so I wanted to expand it into a novel length work featuring the journal elements. To say this work is a roller coaster would put it lightly. Although there are elements of time travel I would consider my sudden transitions reality travel. I use actual experience and dreams as a foundation, then toss in some fourth wall breaking narratives (meta-fiction), with a sprinkling of facts and quotations from songs and factual articles. It tends to be written similarly to an essay sans the boring. I have been influenced strongly by Vonnegut and W. S. Burroughs , and a wide variety of album rock, and that bleeds through. The tags dystopian and dark humor describe the whole piece best but there is a lot of genre jumping. I've done a good deal of research, not just for factual things but for the type of writing I do. Although not technically fan fiction, there is a nod to Final Fantasy games. The cover photo is a shared copyright, Brian Barbour took the photo, I added treatments.Complete

I had this idea last night after a few drinks, a pounding headache, and an excessive amount of throat lozenges. In order to inspire me to write more often than I currently do, I am planning to write a new post every day and publish it, allowing me to rant about whatever is on my mind. Anything goes with this story. Maybe I will talk about something deep and metaphysical about the meaning of human existence, or rant about why my life sucks and how I prefer iced tea over hot tea. Anything goes. This is just an inspiration to allow me to write SOMETHING every single day of the year. Hopefully I can keep up.... If I end up deleting this story, I guess you'll know that I failed. Hello!! My name is Gwen, and I want to share all my crazy life stories, from love to adventure and even a little bit of horror. I have never told anyone any of these, so I think it might be fun to share them with you guys and get to know if you have experienced anything like I have. I really hope you like them and enjoy them.
