Kakashi was chaotically gay, couldn't take care of himself let alone a child, knew nothing about parenting, but here he was.

Adopting the son of his mentor.

Just like he promised.

::

"Naruto! Are you alright? What's wrong, what do you need?"

'MY BABYYYYY HE'S CRYING WHAT DO I DO-'

Kakashi froze as Naruto grinned through the tears.

He beamed, tears gushing down his face.

"D-Dad..hic..no one calls me a monster anymore..hic... they call me Naruto Hatake.." he smiled, sniffling as the tears refused to cease.

Kakashi's breath caught in his throat.

::

"Hm? What is it, Naruto?"

"Thank you..Kakashi-san. For giving me a home and family to call my own. Thank you."

Kakashi hummed, his face splitting out into a wide grin.

"Call me Dad."

SALVATION

17 parts Complete

He thought that it was over, that he was finally allowed to rest but just like so many things in life it proved to be a short-lived dream. Kakashi Hatake, Konoha's Silver Reaper, Clan heir of the Hatake Clan, youngest Commander in history and hailed as a once in a century prodigy as well as the Savior of Konohagakure had been dead for 13 years. After the boy had given his life at the age of thirteen in order to seal the Kyuubi no Youko and hence protect his village from total destruction, peace had started to come. Minato Namikaze, deeply affected by the sacrifice of his student, had made every effort to achieve peace so that no one else would have to get hurt. And for a while it looked as if his vision had become true. The Sand and the Rain had become their closest ally whereas the Rock, the Cloud and the Mist remained neutral towards the Leaf. It wasn't perfect but it was good. And during all of that Kakashi greatest wish had become true. He had been finally reunited with his students, his family. But what happens when an enemy rises again? One they had thought of being gone a long time ago? Decisions have to be made, morals have to be betrayed and old wounds have to be opened again. And perhaps Kakashi realises that he has a new dream. A new goal that he will give his everything. ATTENTION! This is a sequel to my other story Atonement! If you haven't read Atonement already, I suggest you do so before reading Not over yet.
