What happens when the billionaire CEO of the company you work for is the guy you rejected in high school? Or when your best friend and boyfriend all in one who broke up with you to pursue his career is now a heartthrob popstar?
---
The lives of three childhood friends were never meant to cross again after high school, but perhaps due to fate, their paths meet again seven years later. This time there were only a few minor differences; Tanner Coleman, the once shy and quiet kid was now a stone cold C.E.O of his own multi-billion dollar company, Coleman Enterprises. Emerald Chan, the smart and popular high school teenager became an event photographer by day and dedicated fan-girl by night. Oscar Dayton, the humble yet attractive guitar player (and Emerald's first love) had become a heartthrob singer-songwriter owning the spotlight.

Emerald now has to manoeuvre life as an event photographer by day where her boss (who was a childhood 'friend') doesn't remember her, and a fan-girl of her ex-boyfriend by night. Can she do it successfully while not breaking hearts, or getting heartbroken herself? It all seems pretty simple, until old feelings mixed with new ones come into play...

Annabeth Reed had simple goals in her life, graduate at the top of her class, get a nice boyfriend and mostly win the scholarship to her dream art school. She had everything she could wish for a set of supportive parents, an annoying but lovable older brother, and two amazing best friends, but her life would have been so much better if not for her. Emmalyn Cole also known as the school's sweetheart was the exact opposite. She was bright, loud and the absolute center of Rosewood High. Being the daughter of a self-made businesswoman and a famous pianist, she knew she was destined for greatness, but in sophomore year when she was publicly dumped by her boyfriend for her sister, she felt her friends and life slipping away. Junior year she knew that the scholarship to the art school her sister wanted would be her saving grace. She would easily get in if not for her. What started as a small competition spanned into a decade-long rivalry between the two girls. Both ambitious and always after excellence. With the turn of fate, they are once again competing head-on with each other. With the growing competition, a new boy comes along catching everyone's attention including those two and soon they find themselves competing for something other than the scholarship. As time plays with the hearts of the sixteen-year-olds they move towards adulthood and with that comes messy feelings, responsibilities, fear of the future, and a glimpse into the world outside. As the days pass and they grow closer, the girls find themselves questioning is he the one? or are they each other's perfect half?

When Amara's camera is ruined by Houston Lee, Beaumonte University's unpredictable hockey star, she expects an apology at most-but instead, she finds herself stuck babysitting his little sister, trapped in his world of energy, chaos, and confidence she can't quite figure out. AMARA I can't stand him. Every time he storms past, throws that careless grin my way, or knocks over another obstacle in his path, I want to shake him and tell him to grow up. And yet here I am, in his apartment, reading bedtime stories and building Lego towers with his little sister while he lounges on the couch like he's in a commercial. He's reckless, selfish, and infuriating-and somehow, I notice every detail, from the way he smirks when he's sure he's right to the stubborn line of his jaw when he's irritated. I'm supposed to hate him. I want to hate him. But being around him...is different than I thought. HOUSTON I shouldn't even be thinking about her. She's sharp, relentless, and entirely too observant for her own good. She corners me with her camera questions, rolls her eyes at my impulsive decisions, and somehow makes my apartment feel smaller, tighter, and more alive than it ever has before. I don't know if I'm annoyed by her-or if I'm secretly grateful she's here, keeping my sister entertained and making me notice things I've been ignoring about myself. She frustrates me more than anyone, and yet I can't shake the feeling that this isn't just a coincidence. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Even when cameras break and schedules collide, neither of them can ignore the strange pull growing between them-a connection neither expected but can't walk away from.
