The sufferings of Christ were unbearable, yet He endured each wound with silence. His torturers hated Him and spat upon His Holy face, yet He loved them. And because He loves us, we are healed by his wounds. This story begins in the Agony of the Garden, focusing on the sufferings of Jesus taken from the 4 Gospels and the visions of St. Anne Catherine. There are numerous points of view, but mostly Jesus' so the reader can really understand all he went through in more detail. All this pain, all this suffering, Jesus did it for us. They will endure many different trials and tribulations but will their love be enough to hold them together?

This is just a sliver of my chapter that is a part of this world's grand narrative; it's about one person's toe dipping into the brokenness of the Earth, and the ripples, waves, tsunamis it created in her life. A couple of months ago, while consoling a friend grieving the loss of a relationship, he asked me a question no one had ever asked me before. A very vulnerable and powerful question. While his words were just letters on a screen, I could see the hunger in his eyes, hear the desperation in his voice, sense the overwhelming thirst of a person climbing up an incredibly steep and treacherous mountain.
