My name is Delaney and this is my story. I feel compelled to give you fair warning before you embark on my journey. It's messy. It's chock-full of terrible choices and split-second decisions filled with bad judgment. It's rough, complicated and angsty-but, hey, isn't that what real life is? You live and learn through experience. You (hopefully) mature and don't make the same mistakes twice. These, however, are tough lessons to learn when you're trying to navigate through. Sure, dear reader, you will have ideas of how I could've handled it all better-I know I certainly do, in retrospect. But, I'm me. I'm human. And to err is human, right? Isn't that the popular quote people love to use as an excuse? Well-there it is. Read my life story, I dare you, but remember you've been warned. The divorce of her parents does not come as a surprise to Delaney, however her mother's swift decision to relocate to Florida throws her for a loop. After enrolling in classes at university, she makes fast friends with Shane, the quintessentially perfect guy. Jaded by her past experiences with relationships, Shane completely confounds her. He represents everything Delaney believed didn't exist in real life; stability, security and good old-fashioned kindness. It should be effortless. With Shane, it's exactly the type of happily-ever-after story she loves to read, as well as write. Enter Fin: the edgy, risk-taking artist that unrelentingly captivates her attention. Soon after becoming her partner in literature class, he becomes her one and only copyeditor and most trusted confidant. Torn between two different worlds, Delaney stumbles through a range of decisions that lead her on an unexpected journey. She finds herself left with an impossible choice: A life of contentedness filled with ease and love or a passion-filled wild ride that leaves her breathless. However, Delaney also discovers that sometimes the seemingly unimportant everyday decisions end up making the choices for you...

Not necessary to read Book one before book two.* Achievements: #1 in Lesbianromance [August 14th, 2019] #4 in Lesbian [September 30th, 2019] #5 in GirlxGirl [August 26, 2019] Avery has had a tough life, a very tough life. She feels like the universe is forever against her. And never thought that, even after everything she's endured, she would ever get her 'Happily Ever After'. Then one day she thinks it may be possible. The woman she had been in love with for years, finally returns her feelings. Avery was finally happy, the woman she loved so much for so long, finally loved her back. Her 'Happily Ever After' was within reach. At least that's what she thought, until the woman managed to shatter Avery's already broken heart into a million pieces. Months later, the wound still fresh, she packs up her stuff and moves back to the city where she was born. She thinks being in a different city and reconnecting with her childhood best friend, will help her heal. But, nothing seems to change at all. At least not until one night about 2 months later. Her friend drags her to a club. To get her friend off her back, she finds a girl to pick up. She expected for it to be a one night stand and that was it but she desperately wants to see the woman again. And she ends up getting her wish but the next time they see each other it's in one of the most unexpected of situations. Just when she was starting to think that she might be able to be happy again, it all goes to crap. Her life seems to be a never ending string of heart break. Maybe the whole universe really is against her. Warning: This story's going to get a bit dark/depressing. And even though it's clearly labeled as such but I still feel I need to say this is a mature girlxgirl story so there will be sex. Also don't read if you have a problem w/ the word fuck because I use it quite liberally.

"In English class, Ms. Rosemary smiled at me with unmistakable pity. With that look that makes a person's eyes shine and their lips tilt into a smile that isn't quite a smile: quiet, distant, remorseful. She thought I didn't notice how she looked at me every time we discussed a character's death in Literacy class. She assumed that suddenly, I was that student who she had to take into her wing. And it wasn't just her, it was everyone from the students to janitors. Once your mother dies, you no longer stay the bad-ass athlete with an astounding GPA. You become that kid. You know, that kid. The kid with the rain cloud that floats over his head. The kid with the dead mother. That kid. And it doesn't matter who you were before it happened, you just become that kid. Here's the catch: despite all of this, no one utters a syllable about it. The smile at you with that unmistakable pity, with that look that makes a person's eyes shine and their lips tilt into a smile that isn't quite a smile: quiet, distant, remorseful. They assume you don't notice. They assume you're too buried in your grief. But you're not and it still hurts to constantly be reminded. "
