The castle was a wondrous place, a towering testament to carven stone and leaded glass amidst hills, valleys and rivers overgrown with life and vitality. A sanctuary set amidst a paradise to be sure, a refuge from the cruelties and brutality so common in the current age they've become second nature. But even paradise needs a tender, one to ensure the trees grow straight and the garden is free of weeds, to ensure the walls stand tall and the armoury well stocked...and in the Knights case to ensure that the cellar doesn't run dry... And so he'd arrived and with great eagerness taken up the out-of-the-way mantle of Seneschal, as was his calling pleasure. In a mountain, set far back in a place not many have seen was an arena. It was a place where King Tenebris watched children and adults fight to the death against his monsters. Anyone who fights here is either a prisoner or the kid of a prisoner. The children were trained to fight and kill at a very young age, and at the age of seven, they were sent into The Arena. First, they would go against another child, then an adult, and then, last but not least, one of Tenebris's Monsters, which nobody ever beat.
