Meanwhile, the Trollhunter is adapting. Jim misses his family, his friends, and his lost companion. With Claire's Shadow Staff destroyed, the only way of seeing them is thanks to Merlin. However, the old wizard can't bring someone back from the dead, nor would he if he could.

Jim is still hurt, but he can't let that stop him now, not with a new threat rising to the surface, even as the trolls seek a new home.
