Sandara Kahale is a probably the only Honolulu native that is terrified of the water. She doesn't swim in pools, jacuzzis, and she doesn't dare get close to the ocean, but the ocean isn't the only thing she's afraid of, she has a list of fears that practically keeps her from living a happy life.

Sandara isn't brave, or really friendly at all, she's fearful and that's it. Well, that is, until she meets Sage Anderson, an annoying tourist from California staying for the summer with her grandma, who has a strange inclination to help her conquer her list by the end of the summer.

Kennedy Wilson receives disparaging news just prior to having the literal night of her life, which ended rather passionately despite the lack of communication afterward, and just knows that the life she covets so ardently is at an end. With the arrival of her preacher uncle, her plans to come out to her parents are put on hold as she struggles to navigate her family homestead with the very man who is the utter source of all the anxiety she now faces in life. Still, that doesn't mean the world is willing to cease its plod and soon enough she finds a familiar pair of eyes facing her daily, intruding into her life in the most oddly pleasant way imaginable. Mikala Stewart loved her time in San Saba, but now she ready to be home with her family and her beach. It's so vast, so open and lovely, though it isn't the only fetching thing to catch her eye. After a magical night with a woman she hopes to see again, she realizes that may not be in the cards for her until applying for a position on a local horse and bee farm opens those doors once more. Filling her world with more possibility than she ever thought possible, Mikala takes the plunge after retaining the job, but falls unsure of herself on the first day as the relentless downtrodden nature of the woman of her dreams threatens to overwhelm the quickly building enamor between the two. Kennedy will stop at nothing to obtain a modicum of peace on the homestead wherein she was raised, but she isn't sure of that possibility after the woman she can't forget about briskly walks back into her life at the most inopportune time. Although, Mikala may have other plans. Goaded by Kennedy's parents into helping her to come out without fear of rejection, Mikala soon realizes just how large of a challenge that feat might be as the former struggles to stave off the growing ardor in her heart with each passing day. ⚠️Trigger Warning: Story of coming out and homophobia. ❤ Mature/Erotic Content ⚢ Lesbian Romance/Lit

happiness. it's almost as difficult as trying to summarise a whole book in just a few lines. so, where do we begin? ara agassi. 17 year old girl who coped with the shitty life built for her by drugs, cigarettes and sex, yet somehow she still felt completely empty. all she wanted was to be happy... or die. or better yet, not exist. all she ever wanted was to feel loved, whole, not much to ask for, right? wrong. love, peace and all that other bullshit was impossible for her. how are you supposed to recover from your past when it seems to define you? with a little help? what happens when that help is from a childhood friend who turns ara's world upside down. would that, maybe, push her off the edge?
