Dahlia is a lonely teenager suffering from the recent suicide of her best friend and soulmate. Alessandra is the seemingly bubbly and easy-going girl who struggles to get through the day thanks to her crippling mental health. Sloane is a closeted... something (she herself can't figure it out yet) who lives every minute in fear of her deeply religious parents. Johanna was shipped halfway across the world, to a country where she barely speaks the language, in order to keep her instability disassociated from her wealthy German parents. And Roxy is an Iranian-American who tries desperately to mask her Persian heritage from the racist and discriminatory country she lives in.

When the five girls find themselves trapped in a van on a two month-long road trip, together they will face more than they could ever have predicted. From the struggle to make peace with themselves, to learning the true meaning of friendship and discovering what it really means to love, this is bound to be a summer to remember.
