A long time ago the mighty goddess, chose five cats to find her successor. The cats failed and mankind was left without a goddess to worship. The cats vowed to find her a successor and created  a knighthood of Black cats. Bonding with humans to find the new goddess.

Raven has only just been introduced to this secret. Though she has not been chosen by a descendent of the original cats she can understand them. 

Ren is forced to hide his knighthood from his parents the King and Queen. Ruling over a kingdom where black cats are just a legend, and not a good one, makes it hard to be the child his parents want him to be.  

Raven and Ren are thrusted in a world unknown to the rest of society, with secrets and dangers around every corner you can never know who you can trust.
