23 years after the nuclear apocalypse that destroyed and or mutated the earth as it was, the children of the surviving human race have lived their lives having never known the world before the fallout.
Since then everything from plagues to casual civil wars has taken place but most recently and by far most mysteriously, in the past 6 months people have been developing strange abilities seemingly out of nowhere
one of these people is 17-year-old Eve Hale, one of the many homeless layabouts in the city of ConyerWall, lacking the motivation to do anything with her life
But something about Eve's gift is different causing her to become one of the most sought out people in the world.

Ardamin: Clone #7. These short stories are more horror focused than the main book. But how can you tell the story of a zombie apocalypse without some horror? Don't Look Back
Eve is a nineteen year old girl that lives her life just like anybody else. She lives with her family in the suburbs of Chicago, her parents are scientists and her little brother Charlie is the person she adores more in the world. But when this world is turned upside down and Eve finds herself coming home just to find her family death and some creepy guys searching for something in her house, her life is never the same. The Horde
The zombie apocalypse started in April. Hannah couldn't fathom how she was able to remember something so irrelevant, although when she has over a year of isolation from any other living human being it's startling as to how much detail and information one person can manage to reminisce. She was 15 years old when it began. Now, she was turning 17 and nothing had gotten better. If anything, everything had become harder. Human extinction was inevitable and the probability of surviving wasn't just slightly possible, it was impossible. Especially when she's alone. Becoming Them: A Zombie Novel
What would you do if one second you were struggling to survive with your friends and mother in tow, and then you wake up to find yourself with a group of strangers the next - all during the country's takeover of blood-thirsty zeds? Megan couldn't believe her eyes. Her brain was muddled with confusion she couldn't get rid of, no matter how many times those strangers reassured her and explained what happened. But she had to accept it, even though it didn't make any sense to her. Megan had been with her mother every step of the way since everything turned to chaos, beginning just a year before, and now she was nowhere to be seen. And on top of that, she had the zeds to deal with. Ghastly creatures that used to be human, carrying a virus that's spread through a constant hunger for flesh from the host, spreading through bites and scratches. It didn't exactly make it easy to prevent getting infected. Things could have been worse, though, Megan thought. She could've been left all alone to ponder over her thoughts and fear over the future. It'll only be within the time spent with the new group will she find out that everything's not as happy and welcoming as it had seemed. These people had a few secrets of their own, including the real reason they took Megan in.
