THEBES, EGYPT 1290 B.C.

Thebes, City of the Living, crown Jewel of Pharaoh Seti the First. Home of Imhotep, husband of Princess Chione, and Pharaoh's high priest, keeper of the dead. Birthplace of Anck-Su-Namun, Pharaoh's mistress.
No other man was allowed to touch her... But for their love, they were willing to risk life itself.

CAIRO, EGYPT 1926 A.D.

I gazed in astonishment at the shelves that now lay in a domino circle on the ground.
"I leave you alone for five minutes and the place falls apart."
"Oops."
"Well, let's clean this up."

--------------

Vanessa Carnahan is very comfortable working for Dr. Bey in the library and museum in Cairo. Quiet, kind and reserved, she did not expect to be dragged along on an adventure to Hamunaptra by her siblings and a rather blunt American but here she is.

This is going to be based 1990's 'The Mummy'. However, since I love Egypt and the movie so much I was going to try to make my own X reader type book. I always had the tendency to feel bad for the villains, but I don't think Imhotep was really a bad guy. It's just he had a lot of hatred and vengeance for those who cursed him for loving someone after she killed herself. So due to this I'm going to change the story just a tad, and have a more happy ending. I am also naming her after Seti the first real daughter named Tia. I do not own any of the characters besides my Oc Akila/Tia. Akila Carnahan, is the half-sister of Evelyn and Jonathan. Her brother and sister are half Egyptian while Akila was fully Egyptian. She worked with her sister at the Museum of Antiquities in Cario, Egypt. After she and her siblings found the key and the map to Hamunaptra they went to see a man named Rick O'Connell. They all travel to Hamunaptra, not knowing Americans were going as well to the city of the dead. The night they were heading to Hamunaptra on the boat she got constant visions more than she usually did about her past life. How much will she learn of her old life while in Hamunaptra? What will happen when her sister Evelyn accidentally revives Imhotep from the dead with the book? Will she remember her love with the High Priest? Will she help send him back to his holy resting place or will she be the one to keep balance between them all?
