This is a series of short stories, poems and thoughts I've written over the years, compiled into this collection. Most of these were written years ago. Some I've written as early as this year (2025). The purpose of this volume is to feel. Feel everything as though you are the main character experiencing each emotion expressed through my writing. What I Once Called Love: The Drafts de alexclarkbooks

This is my story, or rather a compilation of stories that spans more than a decade. Each piece is written from a place of truth with the exception of the names mentioned. The book itself will broken into sections, with each representing a different moment of my life that was instrumental in helping me define what love is and what it is not. This is a handful of chapters available for preview. Keep in mind, these pieces are drafts so they are in no way perfect so please be patient with me. I would love your feedback though so send in your comments and thoughts. I appreciate it!

From life to death, from love to heartbreak, from making new friends to losing your best, with every story there lies a new beginning- or ending. This is a collection of short stories and poems that I have written. Each story is from my imagination, and if based off of a character, person, or another piece of work it will be noted. Enjoy!

This is a story about me. I loved, and I lost. Everything I could gather from the fragments of my memories, emotions, and reflections, I've poured onto the pages of this book. It's not just a tale of heartbreak or longing-it's an attempt to make sense of it all, to piece together what remains after life takes away what matters most. These pages hold my joys, my regrets, and everything in between. If you've ever loved deeply, if you've ever lost something irreplaceable, then perhaps you'll find a part of yourself here too.

~ This book contains several write ups like the one below ~ I use to think that whatever you put into the universe would always come back to you, just like a boomerang, but not all boomerangs return to their throwers, I've played the role of putting others before myself, I've played the role of a good husband, a good wife, a truthful friend, an honest person, your person, And none of it was ever enough, I wished it was but for you I don't think it ever will, So I think it's time I played a new role, one where I don't throw boomerangs into the universe and hope they'll return.
