Where the Red Fern Grows is a great book about the adventurous story a young boy and his dream for his own red-bone hound hunting dogs. Set in the Ozark Mountains during the Great Depression, Billy Coleman works hard and saves his earnings for 2 years to achieve his dream of buying two coonhound pups. He develops a new trust in God as he faces overwhelming challenges in adventure and tragedy roaming the river bottoms of Cherokee country with Old Dan and Little Ann.The story follows the inseparable trio as they romp relentlessly through the Ozarks, trying to tree the elusive Ghost raccoon. Their efforts prove victorious as they win the coveted gold cup in the annual coon-hunt contest, capture wily ghost coons and bravely fight a mountain lion. Through these adventures Billy realizes the meaning of true friendship, loyalty, and more. (By Wilson Rawls)

Chrissy Martinez is lost, but not the kind of lost that a GPS will fix. She's the kind of lost that takes years of therapy or a trip to one of those spiritual retreats to fix. At 19, she had no idea what her place would be in the world, but she could manage. With her mama and sister by her side, she kept her head down and worked a shitty job to hold the family together. That is, until her whole life came crashing down when her mother died and she lost the safeguard of her home in the same week. Wandering lost in a world without her shepherd, she knows her snarky attitude or quick wit cannot save her from this, she needs a map. And maybe, just maybe, she finds the very map she needs while cleaning out her mother's closet. Maybe, that map is in the form of a birth certificate. ---------- Skillet Lawson is the club goofball. His reputation for inappropriate comments and deadly sarcasm make him a staple in the Franklin chapter of The Devil's Right Hand MC. To some, his child-like banter and carefree nature may seem immature, but to Skillet, this is the epitome of maturity. Nothing is more mature than seeing all the shit the world has to offer and sticking your middle finger up at it. His life is pretty damn good now. He's got everything he could ever want. But what happens when the mysterious girl with curly hair and a bag full of secrets catches his eye? Now, the man who never takes anything seriously develops serious feelings for the beauty with a secret identity, even though he knows he shouldn't. Can Skillet resist the gorgeous forbidden fruit? Or will he fall under the spell of the devil's daughter? ------ Disclaimer: This is the fourth book in my Devil's Right Hand Series. While I recommend reading these books in order, this can be read as a stand-alone.
