The year is 2007, and the 'King Of Pop' is no longer the 'King of Pop,' nor is he Michael Jackson for that matter. He's Michael Black, or now better known as Dr. Black. After years of being beaten down by the media, he decides to leave his former life behind. Currently, a music professor living on the east coast, he resides in a quaint town located in Baltimore, Maryland. After a series of failed relationships and a current complicated situation with a fellow teacher, Dr. Black isn't interested in being in a serious relationship; but when a beautiful and smart 29-year-old student signs up for his class, he begins to think twice about his stance.
