Being second in the line of succession, Loki meticulously performs his palace duties by day, but by night he can be found living up to his reputation as a hard-core partying playboy. Alas, a prince of Asgard cannot remain a fun-loving bachelor forever. Loki's world is turned upside down when duty calls for him to take a wife. His parents have betrothed him to the daughter of the most prominent Lord in the kingdom. Loki would rather be dragged to Hel than to the altar, that is, until he finally lays eyes on his bride-to-be. Meeting Sigyn cracks the foundation on which he built his hedonistic reputation. Can Loki give up his philandering lifestyle and become the husband Sigyn deserves? The Nornir have brought the two of them together; will outside forces tear them apart? *This story is for mature audiences only.* 18+ *Minors DNI* Warnings: Explicit descriptions of sexual acts, alcohol intoxication, and drug use. ●on winter hiatus● '"And so it is with great pleasure that I, Odin, King of Asgard and protector of the Nine Realms, announce the royal engagement of my firstborn son, Thor, scion of Asgard," Odin's mighty voice booms through the crowds, making it nearly impossible to grasp the essence of his words. What if the war that Thor started between Jotunheim and Asgard had been stopped before it started? What if as a result Thor was never banished to Midgard and Loki gained more respect? What if this outcome not only changed the future but also the past? What if all this happened, because of one change? Following Loki's perspective, we find ourselves in the setting of the first Thor movie, with one key difference. Jotunheim is not ruled by King Laufey, but instead by an unknown Queen. When Thor's reckless action that originally would have started an all-out war between the realm of Jotunheim and Asgard does not have the same results, the fate of both realms is forever altered. As history suddenly takes a dramatic turn, Loki, the prince of Asgard who is often overshadowed by his brother Thor, suddenly gains more recognition and praise from his parents, King Odin and Queen Frigga, as he takes the initiative in this new peace with the Frost Giants, while Thor grows resentful of being in the shadows for the first time. When the new ruler of Jotunheim, a powerful and mysterious queen, reveals herself from hiding, it creates a shift in the dynamics between the Asgardians and Frost Giants. This new Queen might hold the key to both the future and the past, and as doors to new possibilities and diplomacy are open, long-forgotten secrets and buried truths begin to surface, threatening not only to shatter the illusions of peace and stability but also the trust and bond between Loki and his family. In this world of trust and betrayal, lies and truth, peace and war, Loki must navigate the fragile balance between his own desires and the fate of the realms, and as new alliances are made and old enemies resurface, Loki will find himself on a journey of self-discovery that will force him to face the twisted story between Asgard and Jotunheim and his true identity.
