I thought some people entered your life with an obvious purpose. That you would recognize the important ones immediately, understand why they mattered, and eventually know exactly what their presence had changed. I was wrong about the knowing part. Some memories refuse to arrange themselves that neatly. They begin with an ordinary meeting that does not feel ordinary at all, then collect through conversations, familiar places, unexpected encounters, long stretches of silence, and moments that seem insignificant until you realize you are still thinking about them years later. For a long time, I kept returning to the same questions. What was real? What did I misunderstand? How much meaning can exist between two people before either of them gives it a name? And how do you remember something honestly when hindsight keeps changing the way the past looks? These entries are my attempt to return to those years without rewriting them into something cleaner than they were. Not a love story. Not a tragedy. Just memories of someone who once mattered to me, the person I was while living through them, and everything I could not understand until much later.
