Lilian is different,  she wants to be someone different. Lilian is the type of depressed girl that sits all alone on a swing while watching the boys play baseball. Oh, how she longed to be one of them. Lilian has a few very good and caring friends, but still, she always feels so alone;  not because her friends were never serious but because she felt no one could ever understand what she felt.  Lilian wants to be her true self, she wants to be Liam.
