Her loud scream echoed through my ears. Heart racing a thousand miles, I ran to the edge of the water. I gripped my locket that hung around my neck tightly, and brung it close to my heart. I couldn't do it. Her brown hair clung to her forehead, as she used all her strength to keep afloat. Those piercing blue eyes begging for my help. Mascara running down her soft, flawless cheeks, I couldn't help the tears from my own eyes flowing down, weaving between the cracks that had formed in my foundation. "Well, even if you don't know anything, she'll come for you. And I will have the answers I want." She said with indifference before adding huskily in my ear. "And... She....I....... I was running through the thick branches, pushing the leaves out of my way with all my might. I had to get away.
