Rei, seventeen summers old, is chosen by the sacred Spirits that reside in the Great Mountains.  She must make the perilous journey to the Mountains before her task is revealed to her. Once she is in the sights of the shadow of the Great Mountains there will be no turning back. 

Her brother Ike, a humble scribe who prefers the comfort of translating ancient texts, is desperately trying to hide his secret which weighs heavily on his shoulders. But his secret is bigger than all of Thilian, and letting the secret be known, harnessing its power, will be the ultimate aid to his sister, his friends, and his family.

Together these siblings will realize that the events to come will affect everyone in the Lintian Territories. Thilian will never be the same.
