Adelina Rose Eddleston is a 15 year old girl who has just lost both her mother and father in a car crash which she survived. Having no adult living relatives in her hometown of Canada and being only 15 with one younger brother of 10 who also lived through the crash, means Adelina has to move from London Ontario to Oban – a small town in the north west of Scotland – to live with her mothers cousin Trish Wilson and her always smiling husband William (Billy) Wilson. Although Adelina has visited Oban before she has never met Trish or William and has no idea why - though she intends to find out. This is all new territory for her. It’s so different than what she’s used to and seeing her childhood friend from Oban: Connor Graham once again, is not quite what she was expecting. Will Adelina be able to continue with her life and make the most of everything there is to offer or will moving to Oban and having to put up with a new family and friends prove too much to handle.
