Dala ng bagong gobyerno na namumuno sa buong mundo pagkatapos ng dakilang-pagunaw, isang pangyayari ang magi-iba ng karakter ni Althea. Galing sa isang pagiging masunurin na manggagawa ng gobyerno ay magiging palaban ito. Ang pangyayaring iyon ang mas lalong magpapamukha kay Althea na hindi pantay-pantay ang tingin sa mga tao at ang mga tulad niya ay laging dehado.

Si Miguel Bourdekin naman ay isang sundalong may mataas na posisyon sa isang base ng militar sa earth. Lumaki sa pamilya ng mga Bourgeoisie o middle class, wala siyang alam gawin kung hindi maging matapat at laging sumunod sa gobyerno. Takot dito ang kaniyang mga sundalo sapagkat malupit ito at walang awa.
