Prologue- Death had existed since living things came into the universe. Now, Death has disappeared, leaving War, Famine, and Conquest to pick someone to take over Deaths place. When they end up picking a heartless teenager to take Deaths place, will she be able to handle the pressure and responsibility that Death had once possessed? And where did Death disappear to?
