She gets to know the kind Blake Pangborn with whom she gets along pretty well and they immediately become friends. Stuck between a friend and a love interest, Aleksa is confronted with even greater problems. The Council brings the charge against her, that she wasn't present, when Annabeth Kingsmill died. While Aleksa tries everything to get over the loss of her parabatai and to get back to the institute in Montreal, she has to struggle with the Council and them wanting her to visit the City of Bones until the hearing. The story takes place in an imagined academy, mentioned in the TMI books by Cassie. Since I love academies I had to write about a story happening here. But the story also sets in various places over the world and reunites some familiar places from the TMI books with new impressions. New characters are introduced and also some old and well-known characters will appear during the happenings.
