For entirely different reasons, they find themselves pushing each other away. Until they realize that their reasons aren't so different at all. This story is girlxgirl, teacherxstudent, and it deals with topics such as abuse, alcoholism, and suicide. It's my best work but it can be depressing at times & may be triggering to some. Poetry was our safe space, a way to say words we couldn't otherwise. A way to make friends and connections. Every word in a poem is important. Designed to mean something. Much in the same way every experience and mistake makes us who we are. ************** This was a beginning, a beginning to what, you may ask. Well a beginning to me, I didn't know myself, I wasn't even free; I couldn't be me. I didn't mind the move, eventually things you face you get over it, but still I was numb. I wanted to start new; just me and Clou against the world, nothing to stop us. I had a good feeling, this year would be a good year. With that thought, I allowed myself to be consumed by the deepness of sleep.
