In a world where eye colour determines your status in life, 19 year old Rayne struggles to get by. Born with grey eyes, indicating no abilities, she lives rough, never quite knowing whether she will eat that night. But when she steps in to protect a young girl, she's sent straight to Azenadale's prison, forced to wait for further interrogations. While there, she manages to attract the interests of the Regisye; the royals, born with silver eyes. Forced into a world where she's surrounded by lies, Rayne fights to stay true to herself. But when she has no control over her words nor actions, the task gets more impossible by the day.

"You're a Shifter." This caught me off-guard. A Shifter? I had heard of them, thieves and criminals that are able to shift to the Other Realm using shadows. Seventeen-year-old Adaria Feur is extremely confused when she wakes up in a room with no memory of how she got there, no memory of the powers everyone keeps telling her she has, and not a clue of how to survive a prestigious academy that is actually training teens into becoming agents for a secret organization called F.E.A.R. However, the thing that worries her most is the pair of amber eyes she keeps seeing in her dreams. They're so beautiful, familiar, warm... but dangerous. And she knows that they hold her whole world, whether she likes it or not.
