The kingdom of Telmen exists in the modern world, full of dispute and confusion on what lies inside of the stone walls. The king has gone missing, and while there is a mad hunt for his sudden disappearance, a special team with undeniably gifted skills is called to guard the castle to protect those inside. The king's third daughter, Alexandra Clauden, wants everything to do with the search. Lucas, a delinquent adolescent turned into a trained assassin, wants nothing to do with it. This isn't his type of job, to protect and serve. And as the two meet, they both realize that this is more than just a search for the king. Secrets can remain hidden for long periods of time...but not for forever.
