I glanced at Ella. She was looking down, playing with the hem of her sweater. 

"It's okay, Ella, James is really ni-" She cut him off.

"I'm not worried about that. It's what he's going to say that worries me," Ella said, meeting my eyes. 

"It's okay. I'll walk you down there," George said. 

And they headed towards her fate.
